What are Short-term Quests?

You can choose from countries in Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America and Middle East. You can choose from a wide range of projects, such as: orphanage care, teaching English, environmental work, healthcare and more. You will be 100% immersed in the local culture though cultural activities, excursions, and host family stays. You will also be supporting essential community development work. Programs Available

Short-term Quest (1-12 weeks):

Go any time of year, for as long as you want.
All ages welcome. The minimum age for unaccompanied volunteers is 16 in some countries; 18 in others. Under those ages must be accompanied by guardian. No upper limit!
Citizens of any country are welcome.

Group Quests:

Universities, Schools, Corporate, Youth Groups, Spiritual Organizations.
Create your own customized Group Volunteer Programs such as alternative breaks, or team-building trips for employees worldwide.

Quests for Academic Credit:

Students may gain academic credit for Quests of any length. Learn more...

Dates and Fees

Short-term volunteer abroad Quests are available year-round. Specific start dates vary by location. Please refer to individual country pages for start dates, what's included and program fees. A comprehensive list of Short-term Quest prices can also be found here.

Program Fees Include:

Preparation & training before departure
Food & lodging in your host country
Airport transportation
Emergency medical insurance
On-going support and supervision
Language lessons, cultural activities and excursions (may vary by country, call for details)

Step 1: Choose your Quest. Contact us at any time for help! We'd love to talk to you. Email or call 1-800-292-2316.

Step 2: Enroll online. Please fill in the enrollment form. Then reserve your spot with a deposit (which will be credited toward your program fee).

Step 3: Meet your Quest coordinator and iron out the details. Once you've applied, someone from the United Planet Team will contact you, and arrange a time to talk about your Quest of interest. THANKS!
