United Planet's Volunteer Abroad Quest Program

All programs provide an incredibly fulfilling experience for volunteers and valuable support for local communities. Volunteers of all ages, nationalities and backgrounds are invited to join 1-52 week volunteer abroad programs in over 40 countries worldwide.

Programs Available

Short-term Quest (1-12 weeks):

  • Popular with students and families during summer, winter, and spring breaks. Adventurers and retirees may join programs year-round
  

Group Quests:

  • Universities, Schools, Corporate, Youth Groups, Spiritual Organizations.
  • Create your own customized Group Volunteer Programs such as alternative breaks, or team-building trips for employees worldwide.

Long-term/Gap Year Quest (6 months; 1 year):

  • Long-term programs are perfect for high school and college-aged students taking a semester or year off.

Three Easy Steps to Apply

Step 1: Choose your Volunteer Abroad Quest Country and then fill in the online application.

Step 2: Submit your $250 (for Short-term Quests) or $350 (for Long-term Quests) deposit at the time of application. You may pay the deposit online with a credit card as part of your application process, call our office at 1-800-292-2316 to provide your credit card information or send a check to our Boston office.

Step 3: The Regional Coordinator in the Boston office will contact you to arrange a phone interview.

Call one of our friendly regional Quest coordinators today. We will walk you step-by-step through the application process and answer any questions you may have. Please note that volunteers must be 18 years of age to volunteer abroad, unless accompanied by an adult. Limited Short-term Quest programs are offered for 16-18 year olds.
