I think it was very cool to work with everyone from different parts of the world and all the different perspectives that we put together. It’s also nice that we could come across people with similar ideas and I think this has given an opportunity to look into other places that you wouldn’t have thought of visiting. After weeks of researching about Costa Rica, I really wanted to go there with friends and discover new places.Arielle from South AfricaVirtual Volunteer from Au Pair Weekend, Project in Costa Rica
They don’t have the privilege we have here and how their parents can barely afford some Wi-Fi for children to learn. The impact that it has on me is that it definitely makes me feel grateful, the relatively luxurious lifestyle I have compared to what they have and it feels good to know that I’m having an impact on them because their parents are very busy and having something for their children something to do (producing modules for students to complete at home) will take something off their mind and it feels good that I’m contributing.Henley, Virtual Group Volunteer from UCRChildren and Education Project in India
It definitely made me more aware of what’s going on in the world because we hear about people who don’t have access to education but when you’re seeing it firsthand and working with an organization that really works with students who can’t go to school or not have any supplies, it puts things into perspective for me and how grateful I am to be able to attend school. That’s the impact that’s had on me.Nicole, Virtual Group Volunteer from UCRChildren and Education Project in India
