Donate Cash

A cash gift is the most straightforward and common way to support United Planet. Cash gifts are deductible for federal income tax purposes up to a limit of 50 percent of your adjusted gross income if you itemize deductions. To the extent your cash gifts in a single year exceed this limit, you may carry over the excess for up to five additional years.

Cash gifts may be pledged for payment over a period of years. To be officially recorded, pledges should be made either in writing or by means of a pledge form. To discuss a multi-year pledge to United Planet, please contact the Development Office at development@unitedplanet.org.

Fund A Project

We offer interested donors a selection of United Planet projects from around the world in need of funding. When you choose to fund a project, you decide where to invest your donation and you pick the project that is most important to you.

Donate Stock & Securities

Gifts to United Planet in the form of stocks, bonds, or mutual funds appreciated in value may be especially attractive to you under the current tax laws. You can receive a charitable income tax deduction for the full fair market value of the asset, deductible up to 30 percent of your Adjusted Gross Income. Furthermore, you will avoid any capital gains tax otherwise due with the sales or transfer of the asset.

United Planet prefers to receive undesignated gifts that allow us the greatest flexibility in meeting program needs worldwide, but we will also accept gifts designated for a specific purpose.

Donate Through Your Will

Remembering United Planet in your will can be a way to make a wonderful gift and know that a portion of your property will be put to good use after you no longer need it. A gift made by will can be simple to arrange. A provision or amendment prepared by your attorney at the time you make or update your will is all that is necessary.

You can express your love in memoriam with a gift that helps United Planet help people in needy communities worldwide build better lives for themselves. Upon receipt of your tribute gift, we will send a personalized card in your name to the individual or family you are honoring.

Match Your Donations

Your company may have an Employee Matching Gift Program. These kinds of corporate matching programs give you the chance to double or, in some cases, even triple your tax-deductible contribution. If you have any questions about your employer's matching gifts program, please contact your human resources department.

 

Monthly Pledges

You may pledge a gift to United Planet that can be paid in monthly or quarterly installments. This is a wonderful way to make a larger gift while making convenient payments. Team & Community Fundraising

Your willingness to help raise funds for United Planet strengthens our ability to support our Quest volunteers and special projects in communities in less developed countries worldwide. Our development office staff will be pleased to work with you and your group to select a worthwhile project and organize a community or team fundraising event.

• Host a fundraiser — A golf tournament, dinner, bake sale, holiday event, walk-a-thon, craft sale, and more.
