Volunteer in India

Volunteers in India experience what is arguably the oldest society in the world, with traditions dating back 5,000 years. India is vast and diverse, with terrain and culture as abundant as the colorful wares in the marketplaces. Mountains, beaches, sacred rivers and the foothills of the Himalayas, India has an endless array of natural wonders, traditions and attractions. India is also home to the world’s largest democracy and is the most populous country on the planet. The climate is hot and tropical throughout, with an erratic monsoon season. The people you meet in India will undoubtedly be friendly, warm and hospitable – generosity is a hallmark of their culture.

Language conflicts are an important challenge in the history of India. Though the causes of these conflicts are rooted in various topics from geography to politics; the consequences of the conflicts grapple more attention. Persecution of minorities, parochialism, and inter-state border disputes are only a few to name. For now all regional languages, as well as English and Hindi, are encouraged to be accepted.
