United Planet’s authentic, immersive international experiences support skill development and career growth, while building global competencies.

Underserved students are given the opportunity for a global experience and to build relationships beyond borders. We partner with student organizations to provide Quest Scholarships to promote greater access to our programs.

We help individuals–students, young adults and mature adults–expand their global perspective.

Understanding builds trust; isolation breeds fear and insecurity and is not sustainable.

In partnership with secondary schools, universities, corporations, nonprofits, individuals and families, and public and private institutions all over the world, United Planet is unlocking the potential of every person as a global citizen and catalyst to create a more peaceful, cohesive, and sustainable world.

In today’s world, global challenges transcend borders. To address these challenges–poverty, global health, climate change, involuntary migrations–we need to work together as a global community. We are constructing the upper stories of a building in efforts to effect change without focusing on the foundation. The foundation necessary to solve these global challenges is in building stronger relationships and greater understanding across cultures.

Over the past fifteen years, we have had more than 10,000 international volunteers, travel to 50 countries, working in partnership with 250 communities worldwide.

Working with the five pillars of Global Citizenship––relational diplomacy, global leadership, global understanding, civic engagement and academic/professional competence––United Planet prepares a generation of globally minded leaders through international service learning, gap year programs, and leadership development opportunities to students and adults around the world.

With programming designed to be immersive, authentic and transformative, United Planet connects volunteers to more that 35 countries where they learn, teach, work and engage in a new culture, forging strong relationships and tackling the challenges that make mutual understanding possible.
