What is a Volunteer Vacation?
It's a chance to change your life -- and to have a real impact on a community in need. It's about sharing a cup of tea in a dusty market, laughing with a family over a bowl of rice, getting a hug from an orphan.
A Volunteer Vacation is about so much more than a sterile hotel room and a luxury bus. It's about giving of yourself, learning about the lives of others, and getting back a huge amount in return.
People all over the world are finding the biggest adventure they've ever had is living and working in local, sustainable, wonderful projects that provide real help. Read about this trend in The Washington Times article “Volidays.”
What Will Your Volunteer Vacation Include?
On your trip, you can choose your project: work with orphans and street children; teach English; contribute to environmental preservation; help with reconstruction; empower women; and more!
But your trip won't be all work! You will also take part in wonderful cultural activities (such as salsa dance lessons, language class, cooking class); go on excursions to significant sites (such as Petra, Machu Picchu, Dracula's Castle).
And you can choose to add on major excursions (such as The Galapagos, Inca Trail, Crocodile Park, and more!).
We invite you to take part in: Short-Term Quests (1-12 weeks), Long-Term Quests (6 months to 1 year) or in customized Group Quests.

Program Costs
The costs for United Planet’s volunteer abroad programs are dependent upon the location of the project and duration of your stay. The estimated cost per volunteer starts at $945.

Step 1: Choose your Quest. Contact us at any time for help! We'd love to talk to you. Email or call 1-800-292-2316.
Step 2: Enroll online. Please fill in the enrollment form. Then reserve your spot with a deposit (which will be credited toward your program fee).
Step 3: Meet your Quest coordinator and iron out the details. Once you've applied, someone from the United Planet Team will contact you, and arrange a time to talk about your Quest of interest. THANKS!
