The Japan Foundation Center for Global Partnership (CGP) has provided funding for United Planet to launch the J-Initiative, J-Center Volunteer Leaders Program, which will allow underserved youth within Japan and America to foster cross-cultural cooperation and civic leadership through an innovative, sustainable voluntary exchange program. |
United Planet Executive Director Dave Santulli, who spent many years living and working in Japan, offers these words about the disaster recovery efforts in Japan.
From Dave Santulli:
The people of Japan are in the daily thoughts of the United Planet team.
We're grateful to the Japan Foundation Center for Global Partnership (CGP) for their support with the grant to cover a portion of the costs related to the launch of an international volunteer exchange program in Japan. We will be reaching out soon with more details on how you can become a part of this effort through your volunteer support and your donations.
We hope that United Planet can build a strong infrastructure to provide both international and local volunteers to the earthquake/tsunami recovery effort as well as financial support over many years to come. We are grateful for everyone's support and patience as we work hard to launch this program.
In the meantime, we ask for your volunteer and financial support in many other areas around the world. You can make an important difference through United Planet, we can unite the world one relationship at a time.
Thank you for all you do.
