United Planet’s unique Volunteer Abroad Quest program combines volunteering abroad, language learning, cultural activities, interesting excursions, and more to provide an incredibly fulfilling experience for volunteers and valuable support for local communities worldwide. Volunteers of all ages, nationalities and backgrounds are invited to join from 2-52 weeks in six different countries to volunteer abroad in Africa. Volunteer opportunities range from teaching to orphanage work, social development projects and construction. |
“Every day I would work at the local orphanage, taking care of the babies, talking with the elderly, and entertaining the disabled...Talking to these people (mostly the elderly who knew English) and the staff really inspired me. The stories I heard and the experiences I learned that these people had been through made me realize how fortunate I really am. Each day I would go to work, and each day I would leave feeling luckier; not wanting to take things for granted.”
