Steps to Apply

United Planet is committed to making our Quest programs accessible. Admission is based on level of commitment, motivation, responsibility, flexibility, and character.  Successful applicants represent all ages, nationalities, and backgrounds. We hope that every candidate who is committed to humanitarian service, discovery, and global friendship will consider applying to United Planet.

Step 1: Choose your Volunteer Abroad Quest Country and program duration (either Short-term: 1-12 weeks, or Long-term: 6 months - 1 year), select your dates, and then fill in the online application.

Step 2: Submit your deposit ($250 for Short-term Quests and $350 for Long-term Quests) at the time of application. You may pay the deposit online with a credit card as part of your application process, call our office at 1-800-292-2316 to provide your credit card information or send a check to our Boston office.

Step 3: A Coordinator from the United Planet Team will confirm your application and deposit and arrange a phone interview with you to discuss your Quest of interest.
