United Planet Ambassador Club of the University of The Gambia
The United Planet Ambassador Club of the University of The Gambia is housed by Gambia’s only university, which is located at the heart of Serrekunda, the largest and closest suburb to The Gambia's capital city of Banjul. Since its establishment in September 2008, it has partnered with all the major clubs of the University with the hope of working with many others in the wider community. One very important relationship is their collaboration with the Student Union. The picture below shows the Club President, Biram (left) with the student Union General Secretary. |
| The Goals of the Club |
"In our effort to bridge cultural differences, we spread the good work of United Planet not only to Gambian residents, but also to those in the sub region. In doing so, they hope to spread cultural awareness to all university institutions, senior secondary schools and other communities. By empowering the children of the world, we believe we can help eradicate poverty and reduce the current trend of the HIV/AIDS epidemic. We believe this will all be made possible through effective health education programs and other youth advocacy forums. " - Quote by Biram Saidybah |
