These 1-week quests offer people opportunities to participate in community-based projects in select countries. The service work areas differ widely ranging from nature conservation, restoration, education, and construction to service areas that are more social including engaging with adults and children with special needs, teaching or organizing youth & children’s holiday schemes. The quests will enhance the cultural interchange between the local residents and international volunteers and also positively influence the host organization and local community by actively fulfilling the missions of each stakeholder.
The main purpose of service camps in South Korea is ‘Glocalization’ (globalization at a local level) which is to bring the world to Korea and provide opportunities for international exposure. All service camps cooperate with local NGOs, local governments, civil society and local volunteers. The locals are pleased with and welcome the international volunteers who have different cultural, social and educational backgrounds to share.
Participants ages 19 to 35 years are welcome to apply. Age limitations are based on current and past participant groups, we want to ensure volunteers are among like-minded peers; exceptions may be available, contact United Planet to inquire.

The whole idea is to make the experience successful and productive for you and the host community, and we have found that these things are crucial. Remember that we are a non-profit, mission-driven organization – we wouldn’t spend money on something that wasn’t important.
