About UP Quest

Welcome to United Planet!  Volunteer Abroad with the world’s premiere volunteer abroad organization. 

United Planet’s unique Volunteer Abroad Quest program combines volunteering abroad, language learning, cultural activities, learning excursions, and special Cultural Awareness Projects to provide an incredibly fulfilling experience for volunteers and valuable support for communities in need.  Both skilled and unskilled volunteers of all ages and nationalities are invited to join from 1-52 weeks in 50 countries worldwide.

Double Oscar winner Hilary Swank joins as a United Planet volunteer

In July and August 2006 Ms. Swank went to Palampur in North India with United Planet to volunteer as a teaching assistant and a caregiver at an orphanage. The actress ended her India trip with a promise to return again.

We hope that Hilary’s example will inspire people of all ages around the world to take an active role in exploring their world and making a difference in communities in need.

What will I do as a United Planet Quest Volunteer?

 As a United Planet volunteer, you will provide vital support to communities in need, immerse and learn about diverse cultures, and explore fascinating areas of the country visited. 

A United Planet Quest is truly the ultimate educational and humanitarian adventure combining all elements of cultural learning, exploration, and fulfilling community service to give you a richly transformational, rewarding, and educational growth experience. 

By working closely with the local people, you will make a positive difference in a range of areas, such as orphan care, education, healthcare, environmental conservation, housing for the poor, and so much more.  You will gain as much as you give through a new understanding, new friendships, and a heightened love for your world.  

United Planet will support you every step of the way and encourage you to exchange and share your experiences both during your Quest and upon your return as part of our Cultural Awareness Project and Voices of Earth Online cultural exchange.

As a UP volunteer, you are a crucial part of the United Planet team and you have a critical role to play in helping us achieve greater global understanding and friendship through working together and helping one another beyond borders.
