What did you hope to gain from and achieve during your United Planet Quest?

To gain a deeper understanding about how we are all connected as human beings. I want to share my culture with Chilean students. I also hope to share aspects of Chilean culture with my students in Indiana. Moreover, I desire to strengthen my Spanish skills and improve my skills as a teacher.

Describe your volunteer work experience.

My first week was great. I worked with two English teachers at a k-12 school in Santiago. I observed the classes and helped out when the opportunity arose.

My second week I was supposed to give CAP presentations to students. I gave several presentations in one day, and for the most part they went well.

What did you enjoy most about your Quest experience?

I enjoyed getting to know the people of Chile. Paul is a good coordinator. I appreciated all that the in country coordinator did for me. He did a good job of picking my host families. They were lovely people.
