Trying to make a significant difference in such a limited time

Describe your volunteer work experience.

I taught English to 7 and 8 year-olds living in slums. I also taught basic computer education and helped out at an elderly center.

Please provide a testimonial of your experience with as much detail as possible.

The first week consisted of two days of trekking, visiting a small town and villages around Mumbai, and staying at an ashram. We had the option to take yoga classes. Then, we took a 12 hour train ride to Goa.

We started volunteer work soon after. The children that I taught and all the others were overcome with immense joy every time us volunteers showed up! I enjoyed it so much and felt that one month was too short that I stayed another four weeks!
