United Planet offers people of all ages and nationalities, both skilled and unskilled, the unique opportunity to take part in a global internship experience, and at the same time, enjoy the beauty, environment, people and history of the country where they choose to intern. Through our Quest Volunteer Abroad Program, individuals can choose to take part in international internships in:
United Planet interns can expect to work between 30 and 40 hours per week at their project placement. As part of your program fee, you will also take part in cultural activities and go on excursions to sites of historical and archaeological importance, such as Zanzibar, Petra or Machu Picchu. |

Psychiatric Center in Peru
This is great for interns with a background in social work! This psychiatric clinic works with adults who are mostly male. The clinic has 20 staff members and roughly 35 patients. The patients are typically suffering from autism, schizophrenia, depression and addiction. This clinic really needs all the help it can get. Volunteers with a professional psychology, medical or social work background can help the patients in their specific fields. An experienced nurse will be guiding you throughout your time at the clinic. |

Micro Empowerment in Guatemala
United Planet is currently searching for interns to assist with the implementation of the business plan for Lavanderia Planeta Unido, a laundromat including the budget and marketing plan of the project. Work also includes training the women and shelter staff on operations and planning. No specific professional requirements are necessary. Basic to intermediate Spanish is an asset. Women's Counseling Center in Nepal In Kathmandu, United Planet partners with a counseling center for victims of abuse. Female interns are needed to help the girls recover at this organization run by women for women. Interns live and work alongside the girls at the center. Professionals may also conduct community workshops educating local communities on man International NGO in Amman, Jordan Volunteers looking for a unique global internship opportunity can work at the Amman office of an international NGO, helping to organize fundraising activities, write grant proposals, and edit the organization’s newsletter. |
