As per the title of this post, I am fairly curious to learn of some artists or songs from around your country or geographical region, or even just in your mother-tongue, for I enjoy listening to music from different places a little too much.
![]() If you can think of any, just post them here, and let me know how come you enjoy them. ![]() One artist, from Alberta, Canada I enjoy now is Aaron Lines. I think it is in everyone's duty to listen to his songs "Turn it Up" and "Cheaper to Keep Her." Turn it Up is about his love for this lady, and what he likes doing with her, and in the song he equates their togetherness to a song, and not any one, as he mentions to "turn it up" through the chorus, as he likes the sound of that, the relationship. Cheaper to Keep her is about divorce, and plainly, how it would've been cheaper to keep her around instead of go through the financial burden inflicted from it. "Living out Loud" is also a good song by him, but I'll let you guys figure it out. You should be able to find all of Aaron Lines' music on YouTube, if you'd like to listen to it. Be warned, it's country though. (Country is too popular here in the great plains of Canada. )Also, I enjoy this band named Hellrazor out of British Columbia, Canada. If you can find their song "Child Gone Wild," I think you should give it a dingle in your ears, as it is a fairly good 80's-style rock song. Finally, used to really enjoy this band called Simple Plan, from Montreal, Québec, Canada, if you can find their song "I'd do Anything" on YouTube, it is a fairly good punk-pop rock song, and has an appearance from one of the old bandmates from Blink-182 in it. Think that's it from me for now. Hope to see some posts, with some songs soon, or learn how you all feel about this music. ![]()

I really like Hellrazor's "Child Gone Wild". (And I can include it in my list too, because they are from the Pacific Northwest.
)I don't know of very many bands from Washington, but there are a couple that I like. First is Fight the Current. They are from Seattle. You can find them on Myspace. Their music is kind of slow and peaceful, but still rock. I like "Hold Tight" and "I Know". The lead singer sounds similar to the lead singer of The Fray. The other is Brody Blackburn, I think he's from Wenatchee. His music is acoustic with soft vocals. You can listen to his songs on his Myspace page (just Google Brody Blackburn). Right now I really like "Stupid for You" by Marie Digby. It's a cute song about liking someone that doesn't realize it. Her song "Say it Again" is also really good. They play it all the time at work, so it drives me crazy though. ![]() I also really like "Are We Different" by Priscilla Ahn. It's a beautiful song. And it's got a really catchy tune.
