Animal/ Wildlife Volunteer Quests
United Planet’s unique Volunteer Abroad program combines volunteering abroad, language learning, cultural activities, and learning excursions to provide an incredibly fulfilling experience for volunteers and valuable support for communities overseas.

PeruWild Animal Care QuestYou can work in an animal sanctuary where the animals have endured severe trauma during their lives. Animals include pumas, parrots, condors, wild cats, llamas, alpacas, boa constrictors, turtles, and monkeys. Tasks may include cleaning, feeding, gardening, and caring for animals. Read more... |

Costa RicaSea Turtle QuestVolunteers work at various beach locations conserving sea turtle populations. The project’s main objective is to protect the nests from human poachers and more recently from beach erosion. This helps to promote long-term survival of the population and includes the recovery of affected populations as well as critical habitat protection.Wildlife Conservation QuestVolunteers assist in the rehabilitation and conservation of wildlife, such as various species of birds, invertebrates, or primates, depending on the project location and time of year. Short-term Teaching Quests are available year-round with two start dates per month. Specific start dates vary by location. Long-term Quests begin in January and August of 2011.

Step 1: Choose your Quest. Contact us at any time for help! We'd love to talk to you. Email or call 1-800-292-2316.
Step 2: Enroll online. Please fill in the online application. At least 60 days before you depart, you will need to reserve your spot with a deposit.
Step 3: Meet your Quest coordinator and iron out the details. Once you've applied, someone from the United Planet Team will contact you, and arrange a time to talk about your Quest of interest. THANKS!
